Ballmer tells Yahoo board: Get off the pot

On April 5, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer sent a new missive to the Yahoo board of directors, advising them not to let "this window of opportunity pass" by failing to give in to Microsoft's acquisition offer. Ballmer told the board they have three more weeks before Microsoft will take its case directly to shareholders: "If we have not concluded an agreement within the next three weeks, we will be compelled to take our case directly to your shareholders, including the initiation of a proxy contest to elect an alternative slate of directors for the Yahoo! board.
